When we get baptized, we're dipped in the freezing water and our bodies go in shock for a split second. In that same second, the dirt of our past gets washed away and as we come up from the water, we are now deceased to our old life and are no longer bound to the old ways of living. Now, I remember getting baptized in 2023 and I didn't understand why we had to be clothed in all white. The reason why the color white is greater on this case than the color black is because it resembles of a new life with Christ and in the Bible, white symbolizes purity, holiness, and redemption at another chance at life by resurrecting our old skin and walking into our new.
